Adventures AWAKE

A pithy little blog encouraging creative adventures of the Christian spirit

Was George Washington — or God — unclear? July 3, 2009

“I am sure that never was a people, who had more reason to acknowledge a Divine interposition in their affairs, than those of the United States; and I should be pained to believe that they have forgotten that agency, which was so often manifested during our Revolution, or that they failed to consider the omnipotence of that God who is alone able to protect them.”

~ George Washington, 1st President of the United States of America

Want an adventure? Pray for our nation today — that we would represent the integrity, commitment, purpose and love which we were established upon, both within and beyond our borders. Pray for Truth.

Happy 4th of July.
We are blessed in order to be a blessing.

Amy, a great blog and quote by George Washington. Thanks for keeping the focus where it needs to be. We live in a great land and if we will humble ourselves and pray, God will heal our land. I just wrote about that in my blog as well (www.blogGWI.com).
