Adventures AWAKE

A pithy little blog encouraging creative adventures of the Christian spirit

About April 26, 2009

Being the only girl in my family – and not particularly “girlie” — it strikes me as funny that God gave me 2 daughters and has called me to spend much of the last 15 years ministering to women through retreats and small group studies. I believe that everyone is creative in their own way and get a kick out of encouraging its unique expression in the lives of those who want more. My joy is to help people go deeper with God – especially women who want to step into their destiny as God’s beloved and empowered. I believe the stories, wisdom and joy of “real” and trusted travelling companions are essential on the adventurous journey.

My family attends Jubilee Fellowship Church in Lone Tree, Colorado, and — in addition to writing and (occasionally) speaking  — I work facilitating conferences and forums around the country for the Spiritual Formation Alliance. In 2007, I started AWAKE! Encounters — a new way to experience God (event). I live with my husband Bill and our two daughters in Centennial, Colorado along with our two over-indulged Labradors.

    hi Amy,
what a wonderful blog and website. I have just spent the past hour reading everything on this site, it’s amazing!!!!
I do wish we had spent more time together on our trip, but sometimes just not possible. What I do get out of this wonderful site and revelation about you, is there is so much more we share and have in common. Can’t wait to catch up and chat some more…..women, their oppression and human rights, have and will remain a close and personal passion of mine. I’m so blessed to have found our paths crossing.
